China is the new economic giant in the global scene, and the vast majority of products are being produced in this country. The production boom is so significant that it is quite challenging to find the best coffee makers NOT made in China. Do not get me wrong, I do not have something negative to say when it comes to products produced in China. This is not the topic of this post. On the other hand, there is an increasing number of buyers who seek products, and in our case coffee makers that are not produced in China for some reason.
Some people may claim that by purchasing items that are domestic production, they support their country’s economy and job positions of their country of origin. But again we are not here to present these reasons but to research and find the best coffee makers that are NOT made in China. Yet, there are a few points that we want you to notice before purchasing any item:
The definition of the Federal Trade Commission, states clearly what a product should have to claim that is made in the U.S.A. We bring here the exact definition: “the item must be “whole or virtually whole” produced in the U.S. The name “United States,” as mentioned in the Enforcement Policy Statement, covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. boundaries and properties.”
What does “whole or virtually whole” actually mean? “Whole or virtually whole” implies that all essential parts and processing that is related to the product need to be of U.S. origin. In other words, the item should contain no — or negligible — foreign content.
– While this post will attempt the best effort to identify coffee machines produced in the USA (or countries different from China), the manufactures might shift the origin of where coffee makers are made without prior notification to our blog. Therefore we cannot take responsibility if any misinformation claims. We would like to invite you to check the country of production for the coffee maker you interested in before you purchase it.
